Complaints and Corrections
How complaints are handled, when values are recalculated, and when public correction notices are issued.

Retention
Records are retained for at least five years.
Complaints
Complaints may concern representativeness, methodology application, proposed changes, judgement, corrections, conflicts or other benchmark decisions.
- Acknowledgement: normally within 10 working days.
- Independent investigation: by a person not involved in the subject.
- Reasoned outcome: normally within 30 working days after sufficient information is available.
- Internal review: available on request.
Recalculation triggers
A value is recalculated for revised official data, incorrect inputs or logic, incorrect methodology application or a material quality issue.
Correction notices
A public correction notice is issued where a value changes by at least 1% or interpretation changes materially. The notice identifies the affected series, period, previous and corrected values, reason and methodology version.
