Methodology Change and Cessation
What counts as a material change, the approval and consultation pathway, and the cessation regime.

Material changes
A material change includes a change to market scope, reference-asset parameters, revenue components, input hierarchy, information set, optimisation objective, normalisation or correction rules.
Approval pathway
- Rationale and quantitative impact assessment.
- Testing and licensing/regulatory review.
- Oversight approval.
- Public consultation, normally at least 14 calendar days.
- A prospective effective date and version history.
Emergency changes
Emergency changes may protect integrity or continuity but are explained publicly and reviewed retrospectively.
Cessation
Cessation may follow loss of representativeness, insufficient data, structural market change, regulatory restriction or unsustainable operation. Where practicable, Almena Energy gives at least 90 calendar days' notice and publishes transition information.
